* Newsgroups- A newsgroup is a repository usually within the Usenet system, for messages posted from many users in different locations. Pay Per Click vs. Organic Marketing

Search Engines display the results of any keyword query in two different ways. One way they display them is whenever you type in a keyword or keyword phrase, each Search Engine uses they're own criteria to "rank" each website and then display them in order, from the ones they feel most represent your keyword to the least. Depending on the keyword, the number of websites that match it could be in the millions and since 80% of Internet Shoppers don't look past the first couple of pages of results, the challenge for internet marketing strategy is to correctly anticipate the current criteria each Search Engine uses. Moreover, since the criteria constantly changes continual attention is needed so that your websites' rank improves or "grows organically". Creating a "buzz" or interest in a product or service by using social networking websites that pass along the information in a self-replicating way is referred to as "viral marketing". Also, the major Search Engines use a websites’ popularity as a ranking criteria, so the internet marketing strategy should include linking your website to others on the internet and since these sites are also linked to others, gaining popularity through linking is "organic" in nature. So with "viral" marketing techniques that cause Search Engine ranking "growth", comes the concept of Organic Marketing.
